This place Blew me away! I thought it was just another small TexMex restaurant, but it was actually quite spacious in the inside. I loved the seats and they were actually comfortable. Beside the food, what I loved was the menu. It was just Flawless, every item had a clear picture and you knew exactly what you were getting. We are a family of six and taking less than 10 minutes to decide what to order was a gift from heaven. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody and everyone!

Food was great. Service not so much. She only came to take my order, bring my food, and brought my check. Not once did she asked if everything was fine or if I needed a refill. I gave her some time but then I got up and had to ask where she was. I will be back hoping for a better experience cause the food is really good.

I have no complaints. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the food. Their salsa is a little spicy, but the best I've ever had in my opinion. I got the San Antonio plate with a sweet tea (which is also good, but very sweet). My boyfriend got asada nachos and he said they were delicious. Service wise...our waitress was sweet and attentive and when she got busy, someone else came to our table to take care of refills on drinks and chips/salsa. Environment was laid back and clean. *I would go back if I ever find myself back in Kenedy.*

This place is pretty busy every night of the week. But it has friendly and fast service. And you can get alcoholic drinks here too.

Margaritas were fantastic, we caught a good buzz! We had the combo fajitas, it was delicious and big portions! Yum-yum get you some!!

I was incredibly pleased with the salsa at this restaurant. This place had the best salsa that I've had in years; however, it was really peppery. If you don't like a certain amount of heat I would not recommend the salsa, but if you like spicier peppery foods that salsa is amazing! I had fajitas with chicken, beef, and shrimp and it had cactus in it. It was really good. I received my food in about 10 minutes from when I ordered it, which is faster than I expected to receive it. If I had to make a complaint at all I would probably say that I was a little off put by how lightly colored the refried beans were. It may have just been my perception since most places have refried beans that are much darker, but it was a little off-putting because it is not what I've seen at most other places across the southern US and in some areas of Mexico. That said the service was nice, all of the waitresses or multilingual. My waitress spoke English, Spanish, and a little French. I was also pleased when they explained some of the background of the restaurant and why it was called agave. They also were happy to explain to me that the agave plant is how we get most tequila, but not all tequila is a guava. I also had one of the locals and for me that their breakfast is exceptionally good. While I wasn't able to try it on this trip out to Kennedy Texas, I plan to do so on my next visit.

I travel through Kennedy at least once a month and have stopped in here for a bite on several occasions. I am always pleased by the quality of the food and service, not to mention the really great prices. I find it hard to believe that they can still offer such great food at such a low price, but I am not complaining. The servers always seem to have a smile on their face and are on point with taking care of me. I always give them a little extra on the tip, since I am not spending so much on the food. On my last stop I had the Mushroom Omelet Plate. What a treat! And those hand made tortillas.... Yummy! Not only is the food delicious, they do not skimp on portions. I never walk away hungry. If you are passing through Kennedy, you need to give Agave Jaliscos a try.
